Has anyone ridden the trail end to end and utilized Amtrak on the return trip?
I did this on the Katy trail last year and it worked great.

I just called about this 8/2019. While the Crescent line can accommodate bikes, the Anniston station is unmanned so there is no way to get a bike checked into the baggage car. They do not yet have 'walk-on' bike service, but some news outlets have reported that they are working on changing this.
