Starting from the Publix at the east west connector is a nice ride to Rockmart. Have someone drop you off at the Publix after lunch and pick you up 3 to 4 hours later in Rockmart. On a hot humid day it adds 15 to 20 minutes but this 65 year old averages just under 3 hours riding time with temps under 80. Stops at 10, 20, 25 and 30 miles with the 10 and 20 stops longer than 5 minutes. I find the ride easy up to 10. Hills but not too bad to 20. From mid 20s there are some long stretches of hills but I gear down and push on knowing that my goal is mile 30. Why? At mile 30 it is all downhill into Rockmart. You can average well over 15 Mph and most times I am doing over that and sometimes hit 20. I fuel up at mile 30 and have the best time going that 7.5 miles into Rockmart. If you break it up into 10, 20 and 30 miles about the only problem you’ll have is a sore backside. Great ride!
