Hi all. My family would like to bike part of the silver comet on thanksgiving and spend the night We me thinking of biking in Alabama. Any suggestions of which town to stay in and which is a good part to bike since we won’t be doing the whole trail. I will probably drop them off and take my car to next point and bike out to meet them. Thanks

One of my favorite rides is from Martin Trail Head (West side of Cedartown, Georgia) to Piedmont, Alabama (Eubanks Welcome center). This is mostly wilderness with nice scenery. The trip is about 19 miles one-way. I would stay in a hotel in Piedmont.
