Around MP# 7 Chief Ladiga is the Pinhoit Wilderness Trail (Alabama).
North and West of Dallas, GA is some WMAs with dirt roads, but no developed trail system. See Georgia DNR web site for the WMA maps. The SCT runs through Paulding Forest WMA. There is a trail to Raccoon Creek off the SCT at MP# 28.
I have not done any floating but I have heard of some in Alabama at Little River. Also some easy floating on the Tallapoosa River near Cedartown, GA, with put ins.
