Piedmont is a neat, friendly town with great sections of the trail nearby. Elevated Grounds is a super place to meet, eat, enjoy the coffee, and pick up some cycling essentials. I was extremely pleased that they carried my size of tire tubes. Super staff, vibe and service. And, Brandon, the owner is a very good guide and shuttle driver. All this made my four day stay extremely enjoyable. Try it out!
