Hey biking friends! I just completed my third ride from Hiram, GA to Anniston,AL the other day. Love love this trail and it has been significantly improved over the last three years. It's the featured 2026 winter-spring rail trail on the cover of the National Rails to Trail magazine.
Rode April 22, 23, 24. Did a little hiking, too, on the Pinhoti Trai in Rabbittown near White Plains.
Please support Brendan's shuttle and Elevated Grounds Coffee Shop in Piedmont. 256-294-5349 Great food and Brendan is reliable and fun to get to know. New pizza and beer place in Piedmont right on the trail is fab. It's called Pinhoti Pizza Company. Bike friendly town.
Robert's Night at the Museum is a great place to stay in Piedmont and there's an EV charger across the street in the public parking lot. Works great!!
New air b&b in Cedartown right on Main St. Not even online yet but it's beautiful and they are open for business. Call Ed to make a reservation 770-846-5404. Great coffee shop next door.
We stayed at the Manor on Beck's Lake while in Rockmart. Myra and Tom are exceptional hosts. Please support them, too. We ate lunch at Soli's Soups, Salads and Sandwiches in Rockmart and got delicious bakery goods at Mac's Bakery. This little town is bike friendly. We got beers at Hometown Pizza.
We had dinner in Jacksonville at Effina's Tuscan Grill. One of my favorite restaurants.
