I just want to update the trail conditions from the Georgia State Line to Michael Tucker Park, Anniston, AL.

There are many more root problems that will increase in severity with time and inattention. The ones listed below are the more serious and warrant this warning.

There are serious bumps from root growth below the asphalt between the following mile markers in Alabama:

4 to 5.5

7.5 to 8.5

10 to 10.5

15 to 19

The roots have pushed the surface up in some places two to three inches, creating a surprise that can catch both cyclist and hikers off guard and result in injury in an isolated area.
