I am interested in hiking end to end. Are there any private land owners that accomodate campers. Are there areas to just bed down for the night. I assume that campfires would be out of the question, but does anyone know of hikers that just found a spot just off the trail to camp for the night.

It's called stealth camping. All you need is a stove to boil water for ramen, no camp fire.

There is camping 1/4 mile from Rockmart trailhead, The Rock campground, $10.00 nightly for tent camping with electric and water.
